Meeks Bay Resort

Meeks Bay Resort sits on the west shore of Lake Tahoe in Tahoma, California, about two miles south of town on Highway 89. The property is operated by the Washoe Tribe of California and Nevada under a special use permit from the U.S. Forest Service's Lake Tahoe Basin Management Unit, combining a historic lodge property with a Forest Service campground on the same grounds. Guests can choose from cabins and lodge rooms, including the historic Kehlet Mansion and Washoe House, alongside RV sites with full hookups and tent campsites split north and south of Meeks Creek. The resort provides direct access to Meeks Bay's sandy beach on Lake Tahoe, restrooms with hot showers, and a trailhead into the Desolation Wilderness; reservations for both lodging and camping are handled through Recreation.gov, and the resort operates seasonally from mid-May through mid-October.
