Middle Lion Campground

Middle Lion Campground is a small U.S. Forest Service campground in the Los Padres National Forest, reached via Highway 33 north of Ojai, California, then Rose Valley Road (Forest Route 6N31). The campground sits at about 3,250 feet elevation along a stream and is shaded by cottonwood trees amid chaparral-covered mountains. The site has eight campsites, six available by reservation and two first-come, first-served, each with a table and a barbecue grill or fire ring; there is a vault toilet but no drinking water on site. Nightly camping costs around $30, with a $10 fee per extra vehicle, and reservations can be booked up to six months ahead.
