North Fork Whiskey Falls
North Fork, CA
Whiskey Falls is a seasonal waterfall in Sierra National Forest near North Fork, California, reached via the Whiskey Falls Trail, a roughly 2.9-mile out-and-back route with light elevation gain. The trailhead and an adjoining campground sit off forest roads that are subject to seasonal closures in winter.
The hike is generally rated easy and is best visited in spring through early summer when snowmelt keeps the falls running. Pit toilets are available at the staging area and at the nearby campground, and dogs are permitted on leash.
