OARS American River Rafting Outpost is a whitewater rafting base at 7330 River Park Drive near Coloma, California, on the South Fork of the American River. OARS has guided rafting trips on the river for more than 40 years, offering half-day, full-day, and multi-day trips with catered meals.
The outpost also runs a seasonal campground, open from April through September, that serves as lodging exclusively for rafting guests. Amenities include showers, restrooms, drinking water, and picnic tables, with both tent camping and glamping tent options available.
