Observatory Campground is a U.S. Forest Service campground in the Cleveland National Forest on Palomar Mountain, California, at an elevation of about 4,875 feet, roughly two miles from the Palomar Observatory. It offers 30 single sites and 6 double sites, including 6 ADA-accessible sites, and is open April through November.
The campground has showers, flush and vault toilets, potable water, and a camp store, with tent, RV, primitive, and group camping available. Monthly Explore the Stars events bring visitors for free star parties one weekend a month from April through October.
