Pfeiffer Big Sur State Park is a California State Parks campground located along Highway 1 in Big Sur, Monterey County, near Carmel-by-the-Sea. The park sits among coast redwoods along the Big Sur River and is one of the most visited camping destinations on California's Central Coast.
The main campground offers about 189 individual sites plus two group sites, five hike/bike sites, and one cabin, with no hookups; each site has a parking area, a fire pit with half-grill, and a picnic table, and fresh water, hot showers, and toilets are a short walk away. Reservations run through the state park system, and the park can be reached directly at (831) 667-2315.
