Pine Marten Campground

Pine Marten Campground is a U.S. Forest Service campground in the Stanislaus National Forest, located along Highway 4 near Bear Valley, California, at the east end of Lake Alpine at about 7,400 feet elevation. It is managed by the Calaveras Ranger District and sits among red fir and lodgepole pines.
The campground has 32 standard, non-electric sites with picnic tables, fire rings with grills, and bear-proof food storage boxes, along with vault toilets and potable water, and it accommodates RVs up to 63 feet. It sits across from Alpine Lake's day-use area, with access to small-watercraft launching and fishing under a 5 mph speed limit on the lake.
