Pinecrest Campground is a U.S. Forest Service campground in the Stanislaus National Forest, set beside Pinecrest Lake roughly 35 miles east of Sonora on Highway 108 at about 5,600 feet in elevation. It sits within walking distance of the lake's swimming beach, marina, and visitor center, and the Pinecrest Lake National Recreation Trail loops the shoreline nearby.
The campground offers roughly 200 sites, each with a picnic table and metal fire ring, along with drinking water and restrooms with flush toilets; there are no RV hookups or showers. It typically operates from early May through late October, with sites booked through Recreation.gov or the National Recreation Reservation Service.
