Pineknot Campground

Pineknot Campground is a U.S. Forest Service campground in the San Bernardino National Forest near Big Bear Lake, California, sitting at about 7,000 feet at the base of the Snow Summit ski area off Summit Boulevard. It occupies a fir, pine, and oak forest setting a few miles from the lake's marina and water-recreation areas. The campground has 47 sites for tents and RVs, each with a fire ring and access to flush toilets, though there are no hookups or showers. It is reservation-only through Recreation.gov and typically runs from early May through late October, with nightly rates in the mid-$30s.
