Potrero County Park

Potrero County Park is a San Diego County park set in a broad oak-dotted valley about 45 miles east of San Diego, near the small town of Potrero and the Tecate border crossing. The grassy meadow and rocky hillsides draw hikers, picnickers, and campers, with shade from mature coastal live oaks scattered across the grounds. The park offers 37 campsites across tent, RV, and group camping, plus two wilderness cabins, with RV sites providing electrical hookups and water and hot showers available near the cabin and RV areas. Other on-site amenities include a ball field, an enclosed pavilion, playgrounds, and hiking trails; camping is open 24 hours a day while day-use hours run 9:30 a.m. to sunset.
