Rainbow Pool Day Use Area

Rainbow Pool Day Use Area is a U.S. Forest Service recreation site in Stanislaus National Forest, located along Highway 120 at the South Fork Tuolumne River bridge. Once a stagecoach stop and later a resort that burned in a 1958 fire, the site is now a day-use picnic area centered on a waterfall-fed swimming hole. The area has vault toilets and limited parking but no potable water, and a day-use fee of $10 per vehicle applies during the summer season, generally May through September. Overnight camping and alcohol are not permitted on-site, and visitors are asked to pack out their own trash.
