The Historic Scoot Inn at 1308 E 4th St in Austin has operated since 1871, evolving from a grocery store and saloon into one of East Austin's best-known live music venues and bars. The interior keeps a dive-bar, saloon-style feel. Outside, a large backyard-style patio and deck are built for concerts, with a capacity of about 170 for regular shows and up to 800 for private events, hosting everything from local acts to touring bands. There's no dedicated parking lot, so riders should plan on street parking or rideshare rather than pulling straight up to the door.
