Shangri-La Trailhead and Campground offers 24 primitive sites with access to hot showers and a dump station on the Cross Florida Greenway. It serves as a gateway to over 60 miles of multi-use trails, including a single-track link to the Santos network.
Located within the Marjorie Harris Carr Cross Florida Greenway, this state park facility provides a secluded base for exploring the rolling sandhills and xeric hammocks of Marion County. The campground consists of 24 primitive sites featuring compacted shell surfaces, communal water, and a central bathhouse with hot showers. While individual sites lack electricity, generators are permitted during daylight hours and a dump station is available on-site for convenience.
The location serves as a major hub for the Greenway's extensive trail network, offering direct access to an internationally recognized 63.4-mile mountain bike system. Visitors can explore diverse terrain that includes historic 1930s-era ship canal diggings and miles of shaded paths. For essential supplies and dining, the nearby towns of Belleview and Ocala are situated just a short ride away from the park entrance.
