Stephen F’s Bar & Terrace

Stephen F's Bar & Terrace is on the second floor of the InterContinental Stephen F. Austin hotel at 701 North Congress Avenue, on the corner of Congress and 7th Street, with the only outdoor terrace directly on Congress Avenue. The terrace balcony looks straight down Congress toward the Texas State Capitol, a view that has made it a well-known downtown Austin bar in its own right, separate from the hotel it sits inside. The menu covers handcrafted cocktails, craft beer, wine and food like a Black Angus burger or seared salmon, served both indoors and out on the terrace. The hotel itself, first opened in 1924, is the second-oldest historic landmark hotel in Austin, giving the bar a sense of place beyond a typical hotel lounge, useful for a rider wanting a Capitol view stop in the heart of downtown.
