Target Fixation
Target fixation is the tendency to steer toward whatever you are staring at.
What is target fixation? Target fixation is the tendency to steer toward whatever you are staring at. Lock your eyes on the gravel at the edge of the corner and that is where the bike goes. It is not superstition — where a rider looks drives their steering inputs — and the fix is the same every time: look through the corner to where you want to end up, not at the thing you are trying to miss.
