Techo Mezcaleria and Agave Bar

Techo Mezcaleria and Agave Bar is a speakeasy-style mezcal bar on Manor Road in Austin, tucked above the Mi Madre's restaurant that owns it and reached through the side patio of neighboring Schoolhouse Pub. The low-ceilinged upstairs room is lit mostly by candles on small iron tables, with a second-story rooftop patio overlooking the street. The bar has poured agave spirits since opening in fall 2015, focusing on mezcal flights served in clay copitas alongside drinks like watermelon mezcal daiquiris and maracuya margaritas. It does not serve its own food, but guests can order chips and queso up from Mi Madre's on the ground floor.
