The Bon Aire

The Bon Aire is a family-owned sports bar and grill at 9070 Research Blvd in North Austin, modeled on old-school Midwest neighborhood taverns from Cleveland, Chicago, Minneapolis and St. Louis rather than a Texas roadhouse concept. It's known locally as the home base for the Pittsburgh Steelers Fan Club of Austin. The kitchen serves American bar classics and kebabs alongside more than 20 beers on tap, and the bar runs regular trivia nights and sports-watch gatherings on its flat-screens. For riders working the Research Blvd corridor, it's a straightforward stop for food, a full bar and a game on TV rather than a destination bar in its own right.
