The Poop Deck

The Poop Deck, also known as The Poop Deck Club, is a bar at 2928 Seawall Boulevard in Galveston, set right on the seawall with views out over the Gulf of Mexico. The name comes from the French nautical term la poupe, referring to the raised deck and roof above a ship's stern used for observation. Upstairs seating puts drinkers above the seawall traffic with cold drinks in hand, while downstairs a connected space called The Keel adds live music. It sits just steps from the Pleasure Pier, making it a natural stop for anyone riding the seawall and looking for a drink with a view.
