What is a trike? A trike is a three-wheeled motorcycle — most commonly one wheel in front and two at the back — sold complete from a manufacturer or converted from a two-wheeled bike. It does not need to be balanced at a stop, which is why riders with balance, knee, or hip limitations move to one rather than stop riding. Licensing and endorsement rules for three-wheelers differ from state to state, so check your own state's requirements.
