Vanishing Point

[VERIFY] What is the vanishing point? The vanishing point is the farthest place ahead where the two edges of the road appear to meet. Watching how it moves tells you what the corner is doing: if it moves away from you the corner is opening, if it comes toward you the corner is tightening and you should be slowing. It is a well-established road-craft technique taught in rider training, and it is worth learning from an instructor who can point it out in real time rather than from a paragraph.
