Whisler's

Whisler's is an award-winning cocktail bar on East Sixth Street in Austin's Eastside, set in a century-old building that longtime Austin bartender Scranton Twohey bought and opened as Whisler's in 2013. The ground-floor bar serves craft cocktails and shares the building with Golden Tiger for burgers and Thai-Kun for Thai food, with live music inside and on a large patio.
The same building also houses Mezcaleria Tobala, a small, candlelit mezcal tasting room upstairs from Whisler's main bar, but the ground-floor cocktail bar is the original, larger space and the one most visitors mean when they say Whisler's. It's considered one of the stronger cocktail programs east of I-35.
