What is a windscreen? A windscreen is the clear shield mounted above the headlight or fairing that lifts airflow over the rider's chest and helmet. Height is the whole argument: too low and the blast hits your chest, too high and you get turbulence off the top edge and a screen to look through in rain at night. Most riders settle on a height that lets them look just over the top.
