Winterizing is preparing a motorcycle for a period of storage, including fuel treatment, battery maintenance, and tire protection.

Winterizing is preparing a motorcycle for a stretch of storage — commonly fuel treatment or fuel-system preparation, keeping the battery maintained, protecting the tires from flat-spotting, and covering the bike somewhere dry. In warm states it may amount to little more than riding it occasionally and keeping the battery charged. The right procedure depends heavily on the bike, its fuel system, the battery type, and the climate, so follow your owner's manual rather than a generic checklist.
