Wooden Legs Brewing Company
309 5th St, Brookings, SD
Wooden Legs Brewing Company is a craft brewery and brewpub located at 309 5th Street in Brookings, South Dakota, opened in 2010. The name is a whimsical reference to Judge Wilmot Wood Brookings, a significant South Dakota historical figure who lost both legs to frostbite in 1858 during a blizzard and famously used wooden legs for the rest of his life. The kitchen serves handmade thin-crust pizza, sandwiches, hoagies and soft pretzels prepared fresh daily. The tap room features the brewery's flagship line including Wild Hare Cream Ale, Split Rock Creek Pale Ale, Three 5 Three Stout, Deadwood Gold Amber Ale and Indubitably IPA, plus rotating seasonal offerings. House beers are available in Growlers and Crowlers for takeout.
