Woods Ferry River Camp

Woods Ferry River Camp is a public primitive river campground operated within the Suwannee River Wilderness Trail system on the Stephen Foster Folk Culture Center State Park property. The facility serves paddlers traveling the Suwannee River, located at river mile 159.3 approximately 10 miles downriver from White Springs. Access is by water (canoe, kayak, or float trip) with no public road access except for camp staff; riders combining motorcycles with paddling trips can use the facility as a turnaround point or multiday base. The camp provides five screened sleeping platforms each accommodating up to eight people, equipped with ceiling fans, electrical outlets, and hammock rigging. A picnic pavilion, restroom facilities with hot showers, and tent camping areas round out the amenities. The 200-yard ramp from the river dock to camping areas includes cart assistance for gear transport, and the site operates year-round with no camping fees, though reservations through Florida State Parks are required.
