Workhorse Bar

Workhorse Bar is a neighborhood dive bar on North Loop Boulevard in central Austin, a low-key spot built around a long beer list and a kitchen turning out all-natural Angus beef burgers. The draft list runs to roughly fifty taps, with more than thirty pouring Texas-brewed beer, and the bar keeps a laid-back, unpretentious feel that regulars come back for. The patio allows dogs, so riders can grab a seat outside with the bike in view rather than leaving it out of sight around the corner. Workhorse also draws crowds for sports-watching during big tournaments and occasional block parties, and the North Loop strip around it is a walkable stretch of small shops and other bars worth a stop on an Austin ride.
