The descent covers 23 miles back into Tennessee valleys through uninterrupted forest, with 15 scenic overlooks and pull-offs dotting the route. Critical fuel consideration: there is no fuel on the Cherohala Skyway—riders must fill completely in Tellico Plains before the junction to reach Robbinsville.
