Devil's Triangle is a 44-mile loop composed of Tennessee Routes 62, 116, and 330, located in the mountains of the Cumberland Plateau just north of Oak Ridge. This route is composed of unusual two-lane roads with adrenaline-pumping curves, scenic views, and unique hazards including gullies, steep drop-offs, and guardrails. Starting clockwise on TN 62, riders encounter eight easy miles before TN 116 at Schoolhouse Corner and the town of Petros. Armes Gap features a dramatic descent of 1,600 feet in just 1.5 miles. The road demands full rider attention throughout. Historic Brushy Mountain State Penitentiary (opened 1896, now a tourist attraction) serves as a notable landmark along the route.
